Russian "Pantsir" loses to the Israeli "Spyder" in range, but wins in reaction speed

Experts compared the Russian ZRPK "Pantsir-S" and the Israeli complex "Spyder".

Russian experts decided to compare the capabilities of the Russian Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile systems with the Israeli Spyder complexes. As it turned out, in many respects these systems are practically “twin brothers”, however, the Russian “Pantsir” has both advantages and significant drawbacks.

Specialists draw attention to the fact that a key feature of the anti-aircraft complexes of Russian and Israeli production is their high movement speed. Within just a few hours, these complexes can be transferred to a completely different area, which clearly gives a tactical advantage.

The effectiveness of hitting targets at each of the complexes is approximately of the order of 70-75%, however, in terms of armaments, the Russian Pantsir-S benefits because of the presence of not only missiles, but also cannons. Moreover, experts pay attention to the rather rapid response of the Russian systems to the detection of objects in the air, which gives a number of advantages, allowing them to be destroyed almost immediately when entering the affected area.

Nevertheless, the experts note that the effective range of destruction of air targets of the Russian ZRPK Pantsir-S is much smaller and is only up to 20 kilometers, while the Israeli Spyder can destroy air targets at a distance of almost twice as long - to 35 kilometers.

Of course, it loses, as usual in the picture, everything is OK, but as far as it comes, everything is broken, sawn
