The Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jet, designed to counter Western air defense systems, demonstrated exceptional effectiveness, successfully overcoming the Patriot, NASAMS and IRIS-T air defense systems. This was reported by the CEO of the Rostec state corporation Sergey Chemezov, noting that the Su-57 was the only fighter in the world of its class to show such results. Ahead of the Airshow China air show in Zhuhai, Chemezov emphasized that the aircraft successfully performs combat missions using the most modern weapons, including the X-69 stealth cruise missiles, which makes it in demand both on the domestic and export markets.
The export version of the aircraft, the Su-57E, will be presented at the air show in Zhuhai and will take part in the demonstration flight program. This is the fighter's first performance outside of Russia, and Chemezov expressed confidence that the Su-57E will generate significant interest among international buyers and experts. In addition to the fighter, Rostec will present at the air show the upgraded Ka-52E reconnaissance and attack helicopter, equipped with an electronic defense system and low-visibility technologies. The helicopter is designed to support operations with a high degree of protection from radar detection and provides active counteraction to threats.
The Su-57 will be the central exhibit of the Russian display at Airshow China and will demonstrate elements of aerobatics, emphasizing its maneuverability and ability to use high-precision guided weapons. In addition to the Su-57E, the exhibition will feature the Il-78MK-90A tanker aircraft, which can also be used as a military transport aircraft, which increases its operational flexibility and expands its application capabilities.
According to Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev, Russian defense enterprises brought a record number of new products to China, including guided missiles, air bombs, and anti-ship missiles developed specifically for fifth-generation fighters and the Ka-52 combat helicopter. In the air defense segment, the exhibition will feature the highly effective S-350E Vityaz system, designed to defeat a wide range of targets. Mikheev expressed confidence that Russia's participation in the air show will strengthen bilateral relations with China and arouse the interest of guests and participants thanks to a wide range of innovative military equipment.
