1 February 2014. Volga-Don Transport Prosecutor's Office is conducting activities to check the validity of the mass delay on Thursday of flights of the Rostov airport. This was said the press service of the Southern Transport Prosecutor's Office.

The airport of Rostov-on-Don On Thursday could not send on time about 11 flights. According to some reports, one of the reasons for the significant delay in departures, in addition to the bad winter conditions, is the unstable operation of the airport's technical services, which resulted in the inability to timely fill up the aircraft preparing for take-off.

All the liners for the delayed flights were ready for departure on their routes only after 21 hours in Moscow time.

“A check organized by the prosecutor’s office is trying to find out how clearly airlines operating flights follow important licensing requirements, and also wanted to know whether the leadership of the airport in Rostov-on-Don complies with the aviation legislation,” the official said. 

In addition, the prosecutor's office conducted in connection with these events the reception of citizens to explain to them the main provisions of the requirements of the law.
