Senior Arslan Akhmaisov, along with sailor Philip Filin, carried out radio elements from the storeroom of the ship, which were hidden in another room of the cruiser. Later, they deployed an underground workshop on an aircraft carrier, where elements with precious metals were removed with the help of wire cutters. According to available data, the income from their illegal fishing brought 1,2 million rubles - it was for this amount that they sold the extracted material to buyers in Murmansk.

The military court sentenced the foreman and sailor to 3,5 years in prison in a general regime colony. In addition, the perpetrators are obliged to pay the damage to the Russian Ministry of Defense - for 630 thousand rubles each.

Whether the theft of radioelectronic components had an impact on the fighting qualities of an aircraft-carrying cruiser remains unknown, but given the scale of the stolen, this could well have happened.
