Rossiya Airlines plane made an emergency landing due to a fuel leak

An Airbus A319 passenger plane of Rossiya Airlines, flying from St. Petersburg to Sochi, made an emergency landing at Mineralnye Vody airport. According to a SHOT source, the forced landing was caused by a fuel leak on board the plane. Fortunately, there were no injuries among the passengers or crew.

The incident occurred mid-flight when the crew discovered a problem with the fuel system. The aircraft commander decided to immediately land at the nearest airport to prevent possible dangerous consequences. Mineralnye Vody Airport turned out to be the most suitable place for an emergency landing.

Airport emergency services promptly responded to the signal and ensured a safe landing of the plane. All passengers and crew were evacuated and no one required medical assistance. Airline and airport specialists immediately began inspecting the aircraft and fixing the problem.
