Mexican air traffic controllers got the wrong signal about the hijacking of aircraft.

As it became known, he signal was transmitted from the aircraft belonging to the airline "WestJet". Despite the panic reigned, some time later, a passenger plane from which the message was transmitted and the threat of theft, landed at the airport of Puerto Villa, and as it turned out, the aircraft crew did not know the reasons why the system worked.

At the moment, the fact of the incident conducted verification, but most likely the system really worked independently as an air traffic controller who worked according to the information at the moment on the tower, after updating the information turned out that in reality the pilot did not use the signal of the hijacking.
