May 29. Airliner owned by an Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair made an emergency landing on the island of Palma de Mallorca.
The reasons that caused the emergency landing are that a sensor on the board triggered a fire in one of the aircraft compartments. Landing aircraft was in normal mode, and as it later turned out, the fire alarm trigger was false, because with a thorough inspection of the airliner, no possible problems were found.
On board the plane following in Memmingham was 148 passengers, and because of what happened, their flight was delayed for several hours.
