The incident took place in a military unit located near Novosibirsk, where 12 soldiers deserted, left the territory without permission and left by taxi. According to Gazeta.ru, the servicemen were preparing to be sent to the zone of a special military operation. However, plans changed when the group decided to leave the unit without notifying the command.

At the moment, according to unofficial information, seven fugitives have been detained, but five remain at large and their whereabouts have not been established. Search operations are ongoing, and the authorities are taking all necessary measures to detain them and return them to their military unit.
