The Transport Ministry wants to increase fines for airlines for delaying flights.

According to the information and news portal Avia.pro, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is considering the possibility of increasing fines for air carriers that delay and cancel their flights. According to some information, fines are supposed to be increased by 12, while carriers are obliged to pay passengers compensation right on the airport territory, however, the maximum amount can be calculated only if the flight was delayed more than a day.

According to analysts, this approach is very rational, as it will increase competition in the market of passenger transportation, and ensure the protection of passengers' rights.
