Swedish Defense Minister Poul Johnson has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth nearly $450 million. The move is part of ongoing support for Kyiv in its standoff with Russian forces. The package includes a variety of military hardware and equipment designed to strengthen the Ukrainian armed forces both on the front lines and in defense.
The package includes:
— 6 Stridsbåt 90 landing and assault boats, which are highly maneuverable and designed to carry out landing operations in coastal areas and on rivers;
— Robot 70 MANPADS;
— Means for working with unmanned aerial vehicles;
— Ammunition for tanks;
— Protective equipment for the military, including personal protective equipment;
— Special camouflage for equipment;
— Winter clothes.
Paul Johnson noted that aid will be sent in the near future to strengthen Ukrainian units, especially before the onset of cold weather.
