Strong wind could cause An-26 crash in Syria

One of the reasons for the An-26 crash in Syria could be a strong wind.

On the eve of the day in Syria, the Russian military transport aircraft An-26, on board which was more than 30 people, crashed. The tragedy occurred about half a kilometer from the Russian military base of Khmeimim, where the aircraft had to land in a few seconds.

Experts working at the site of the An-26 plane crash in Syria believe that when investigating the tragedy, the main impact of meteorological conditions should be considered, as witnesses indicated that the wind speed at the time of the crash was quite high, which is also confirmed by meteorological reports.

It should be clarified that initially there were reports that the Russian military aircraft An-26 could be shot down by terrorists, however, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu officially denied this version.
