A few hours ago, the Syrian army was forced to open warning fire with automatic weapons on a US military convoy moving towards the Hasaka-Tal-Barak highway. According to sources, when approaching the Syrian checkpoint, the US military did not slow down its movement, and therefore, in order to demonstrate strength and determination, Syrian troops opened warning fire on the US military, after which a large convoy was forced to stop.

Information in this regard is partially confirmed by the Arab edition of "Al Masdar News", however, any information about the shootout is not commented on.

“The Syrian army checkpoints in the villages of Al-Sibat and Tal-Aswad, which are located in the Jabal-Kaukab area, near the base of the 123rd regiment, did not allow US troops to continue moving towards the Hasaka-Tal Barak road. The report stated that this American convoy rarely appeared in this part of Al-Hasak governorate, since it was controlled by the Syrian military throughout the war. ”- it is said in the material of the publication.

It should be clarified that this is far from the first case when the Syrian army is forced to resort to using weapons in order to stop the American military convoys, however, it has not yet reached any serious skirmishes, and probably will not, because all the checkpoints of the Syrian army have heavy weapons.
