UAVs again attacked the Russian military airfield.

The night before it became known that the militants of the group "Jays al-Izza" again attacked the positions of Russian military in the Syrian province of Latakia. As in previous cases, the Russian military air base Khmeimim was attacked.

According to analysts, the frequency of attacks by Syrian radicals on a Russian military airfield has increased significantly, in particular, in the last week alone, the Khmeimim airbase was attacked seven times, indicating that the militants are serious about damaging military equipment and destroying the base's infrastructure.

Despite the frequent attacks, the Russian military managed to repel an attack of drones armed with artillery shells, but there is a suggestion that the militants only check the defense capabilities of the Russian military and prepare a massive attack of drones, in which up to two dozens of aircraft can participate.

The main reason why the militants began to attack more actively the Russian military airbase "Khmeimim" was the offensive operation of the Syrian government forces and the massive air strikes of the Russian military security services. According to experts, once the Syrian troops begin to actively advance on the position of militants, attacks on the Russian base will be stopped.
