Government forces launched an offensive in the northwestern part of the country.

Currently, reports from Syria contain information about the transition of the armed forces of the Arab Republic to the offensive in the area of ​​tension. The Lebanese portal "Al Masdar News" reports on a large-scale operation against militants in the province of Hama, organized by the Syrian government army.

As follows from the latest data, the command of the SAA has set the task to liberate the territory in the northwestern part of the country controlled by the militants of terrorist organizations. A number of districts of the Hama province are controlled by the terrorists of the former Jabhat al-Nusra (banned in the Russian Federation). Other territories are controlled by the "Islamic Movement of East Turkestan" (banned in the Russian Federation). This organization is mostly represented by people from the northwestern part of China. Mainly, these are the Uyghurs who got to Syria through Afghanistan, Pakistan and other states.

To some extent, the cause of the offensive was the incessant shelling of the positions of the government army of Syria and the territories where civilians live from the side of terrorists. When one of these attacks, two citizens were killed, and several more civilians were injured.

The difficulty for the CAA is that the militants organized the traffic from the Idlib de-escalation zone. The main connection between the terrorists in Hama and Idlib is where the territory is to be controlled by the troops of Turkey. But the Turks do not go to full control in the de-escalation zone.

At the plenary session of the Valdai Club conference, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov stressed that until the final cleansing of terrorists is carried out in Syria, peace will not come in this country. First of all, as Bogdanov is sure, a sweep should be carried out in the de-escalation zone, including in the province of Idlib. If this is not done, the militants of terrorist organizations will continue their sorties.
