Syrian Politician Accuses Israel of Undermining Country's Stability

Syrian politician Mohammed Sabra said that Israel's recent actions are aimed at destabilizing Syria and are a violation of its sovereignty. In an interview with the TASS news agency, he stressed that Syria needs the support of the UN Security Council and the Arab League to stop Israeli attacks. Sabra noted that the country does not seek war and calls on international organizations to intervene to stop Israel's unjustified attacks.

In addition, the politician stressed that any foreign military presence in Syria must be approved by the people through a referendum, including Russian military bases on the country's territory. In his opinion, such a referendum is possible only after achieving political stability and security in Syria.

At the same time, the Israeli armed forces continue to strike Syrian military targets. According to Al Arabiya TV channel, the Israeli Air Force attacked the largest air bases in Syria, destroying infrastructure and dozens of helicopters and fighter jets. The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned these actions and called on the UN Security Council to take measures to prevent the Israeli army from further occupying Syria.

Against this backdrop, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz spoke of the need to prepare the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for wintering on the Syrian side of Mount Hermon. He stressed that holding the Hermon peak is of great importance to the country's security, and called for the deployment of IDF forces in the area to be ensured, creating conditions for fighters to live in harsh weather conditions.
