The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported an airstrike in Syria targeting a weapons and logistics facility linked to pro-Iranian armed groups. According to the command, the strike was a response to a rocket attack on US troops at a patrol base in the city of Ash-Shaddad in northeastern Syria on November 12.
CENTCOM stressed that this retaliatory strike is aimed at preventing further threats to American forces and demonstrating the United States' resolve to defend its positions in the region.
