Turkey did not want to buy Russian Su-57

Turkey will remain without Su-57 fighters.

Despite repeatedly appearing information that the Turkish side expressed a serious desire to acquire a large batch of Russian Su-57 fighters, in the case of exclusion of this country from the F-35 program, it became known that the purchase of fifth-generation Russian combat aircraft was obviously not will take place.

This opinion is primarily due to the official statement of the Russian side, which offered Turkey not the Su-57, but the fourth-generation fighter Su-35.

“If our Turkish colleagues express a desire, we are ready to work out deliveries of the Su-35”- said the head of the state corporation "Rostec" Sergey Chemezov.

Experts pay attention to the fact that Su-35 is practically not inferior in its qualities to Russian Su-57, however, Turkey initially intended to acquire only fifth-generation fighters, which caused a lot of questions.

“It is possible that Turkey and Russia could not agree on Su-57. The reasons can be mass - starting from the cost, and ending with the terms of deliveries. Despite the lack of official statements from Ankara, it can be assumed that Turkey simply did not want to buy Russian Su-57 ", - the expert notes.

It should be clarified that there are currently no official comments from Turkey on the proposal to buy Su-35 fighters.
