Turkey threatens to inflict massive air strikes on Iraq.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made an official statement that the Turkish Air Force intends to inflict massive air strikes on the city of Sinjar and its environs (Iraqi Kurdistan). As part of the statement, it was reported that the operation would be anti-terrorist, and its details are currently being discussed with the Iraqi authorities, and therefore it is not about invading the internal affairs of a sovereign state.

On the other hand, it is important to take into account that the Turkish Air Force may face a number of problems in Iraq, in particular, we are talking about the interests of the United States, since the US Department of Defense will not allow the expansion of Turkey's influence in this region, especially given the very cool political relations between the two countries.

Among other things, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that, in addition to the planned operation in Iraqi Kurdistan, the Turkish Air Force will continue to attack the positions of militants in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, in particular, they are Ain al-Arab, Tall Abyad, Munbich and others.
