The new code was given to Rostov-on-Don Airport.

Airport codes are used specifically to identify the point of arrival, are used to compile flight schedules, control flights, etc., and according to official data, in the Rostov air harbor the code was changed to a new one that airport passengers could notice.

It should be clarified that the previously planned opening of a new airport in Rostov-on-Don "Platov" on 27 November, was torn down, and, in fact, the air harbor will be inaugurated 1 December. What exactly caused the transfer, so far remains unknown, while no comments from the airport management or from aviation departments have been received.
