Drones worth 20 million rubles stolen from Yekaterinburg businessman

In Yekaterinburg, businessman Vladislav (name changed) became a victim of fraudsters who stole 45 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters worth about 20 million rubles. The criminals, posing as philanthropists who intended to donate the drones for the needs of a special military operation (SVO), fraudulently took possession of the goods.

According to the source, several weeks ago Vladislav was contacted by an unknown person from Krasnoyarsk, who expressed a desire to purchase 45 drones to send them to the front. The entrepreneur agreed and organized the shipment of quadcopters from a Moscow warehouse to Yekaterinburg, planning to personally pick them up and hand them over to the buyer.

On February 1, Vladislav received a notification of the delivery of the cargo, but did not receive the goods themselves. It turned out that the "buyer" took the drones, presenting a fake passport in the name of Vladislav.

During the investigation, security forces found the car that was used to transport the goods in the village of Beloyarsky. The owner of the car turned out to be a taxi driver, who said that he helped a stranger unload boxes on Energostroiteley Street. No traces of drones were found during an inspection of the house.

The Federal Security Service (FSB) has joined the investigation. Operational search activities are currently underway to establish the identity and location of the perpetrators.
