According to reports, after the departure of the Swedish reconnaissance aircraft, the Poseidon anti-submarine aircraft of the Norwegian Air Force arrived in the region's airspace. It is noteworthy that it turned on its transponder only after returning to Norwegian airspace, and the entire flight in neutral waters took place in "invisible" mode.

The incident occurred shortly after several drones attempted to attack Russian targets in the Murmansk region. Russian air defense forces were able to quickly detect and neutralize the threat, but the incident underscored the growing tensions in the region. While the drones were shot down, increased surveillance near Russia's borders continues. NATO reconnaissance aircraft have been spotted flying here several times in recent days, raising concerns among military analysts.

Swedish and Norwegian aircraft, such as the S102B Korpen reconnaissance aircraft and the P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine aircraft, regularly appear near Russian borders. Experts believe that these maneuvers are aimed at gathering intelligence information, especially in the context of increased Russian naval activity around strategically important facilities.
