Strikes on Ukraine continued all night

On the night of April 24, 2025, the Russian Armed Forces and Aerospace Forces carried out a series of massive strikes on military and infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. According to military sources and messages on Telegram channels, including military correspondent Vladimir Romanov, the attacks affected Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Zaporizhia and other regions. Kalibr cruise missiles, operational-tactical missile systems (OTRK), Geran/Gerbera drones, Kh-101 missiles and guided aerial bombs (UMPK) were used.

The strikes began around midnight and continued until the morning. In Kyiv and its environs, including Brovary, Bucha and Vyshgorod, multiple explosions caused by drones and missiles were recorded. Kharkiv was subjected to intense attacks using Kh-101 and Kalibr, which led to significant destruction. In Pavlograd, Dnipropetrovsk region, a particularly powerful single explosion was recorded at 03:30, presumably from a cruise missile. In Zhytomyr region, as well as in Sumy, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions, strikes were carried out on both military facilities and energy infrastructure. Zaporizhia and Donbas also came under fire, with the use of UMPK and Geraniya.

According to information published by Reuters on April 24, 2025, Ukrainian authorities confirmed strikes on critical infrastructure. Air raid sirens were issued in Kyiv and Kharkiv, and local residents reported power outages. According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, some missiles and drones were intercepted by air defense systems, but significant damage was caused to facilities in several regions.
