Ukraine Attacks CPC Oil Pumping Station in Krasnodar Region

On February 17, 2025, an oil pumping station of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) in Krasnodar Krai was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). According to official information, there were no casualties as a result of the incident, and no threat of an oil spill was recorded. Currently, oil is pumped through the CPC system in reduced modes, bypassing the damaged station.

The attack on the KTK facility was part of a series of massive UAV strikes across the Krasnodar Territory that day. In particular, explosions caused by the air defense system were heard in the area of the village of Severskaya. Drone debris fell in the village of Ilsky in the Seversky District, where, according to preliminary data, 12 residential buildings were damaged. The main damage was caused by broken windows and damage to the facades of buildings. A woman was injured and was given first aid.

According to the SHOT Telegram channel, drones attempted to damage the Ilsky Oil Refinery. Explosions were heard in the area of the refinery, but there was no official confirmation of damage to the plant.

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium is one of the largest international projects in the field of oil transportation, connecting the Caspian region fields with the Black Sea coast of Russia. The consortium members are the largest oil companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, as well as international corporations from the USA and Europe. Any disruptions in the work of the CPC may affect the volume of oil supplies to world markets, which emphasizes the importance of ensuring the security of its infrastructure.
