Ukraine received 60 Leopard 2 tanks

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov confirmed in an interview with the Funke media group that Ukraine has already received a significant number of tank units from its allies. The bulk of the deliveries are about 60 Leopard 2 tanks, which were transferred by a coalition led by Germany, which includes Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Spain and Canada.

"We already have about two battalions of 30 Leopard tanks each. In total, this is about 60 units of this model"- said Reznikov.

In addition, France supplied Ukraine with AMX-10RC wheeled tanks, the UK - Challenger tanks, and the USA - Abrams. This highlights the active military support that Kyiv receives from its Western partners in the current geopolitical situation.

In addition, the minister said that the supplied equipment will be maintained in working order with the help of a specialized center for the maintenance and repair of Leopard-2 tanks, which are involved in Ukraine. The center will be created on the basis of the Bumar-Labendy plant in the city of Gliwice, located in the Silesian Voivodeship of Poland.

Repair and maintenance of armored vehicles on the territory of Poland will ensure the effective use of tanks in Ukraine and keep them in good condition in conditions where constant combat readiness is extremely important.
