An aircraft-124

Ukraine resumes production of An-124 "Ruslan"

In Ukraine, they will try to resume the production of the Ruslan aircraft, replacing the Russian components "with something else."

Speaking on the Ukrainian TV channel "Direct", the first deputy director of the concern "Ukroboronprom" Sergey Omelchenko announced the intention of the company "Antonov" to resume production of transport aircraft An-124 "Ruslan". At the same time, Russian-made components will not be used. However, if their replacement is not provided, then “Ruslan” will not be collected.

Speaking about the work on preparing for the production of An-124, Omelchenko said that his electronic system is being processed. It is assumed that engineers and designers will accept this system in 2019 year. After that, you can start assembling the first aircraft.

Omelchenko also said that the company will negotiate with international companies involved in the manufacture of aircraft for parts, which can be replaced by what was previously supplied from Russia.

It should be clarified that a little earlier, Nikolai Talikov, General Designer of Il PJSC, giving an interview to a reporter for the online publication Zvezda, spoke about the preparation of a draft of a new super heavy Russian aircraft. This will be the new IL-106, which will replace the An-124 Ruslan.
