Ukraine buys Turkish drones "Bayraktar TB2"

Ukraine buys a batch of drone dronees from Turkey.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in his “Facebook” that six unmanned aerial vehicles will be purchased from Turkey for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Drones - shock. This is "Bayraktar TB2". Kiev buys them together with ground control complexes.

The document on the acquisition of drones Erdogan and Poroshenko have already signed. As the Ukrainian president comments, such an acquisition will become, as it were, a symbol of the fact that the country is switching to NATO standards.

Speaking about drones, Poroshenko specifies that they not only have high technical characteristics, but can also be equipped with modern high-precision rocket armament. With it, the drones will be able to destroy armored vehicles, engineering and fortifications, naval targets. Ukrspetsexport will acquire these cars from the Turkish company Baykar Makina.

Poroshenko also emphasizes that the signed agreement "Fully corresponds to the strategic course of Ukraine in the Alliance (NATO)". That is, in this case we are talking about the integration of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine into the open world arms market.

According to the Anadolu Agency, the Turkish company will build all six vehicles for the Ukrainian Armed Forces within one year. Simultaneously with the transfer to the Ukrainian side, the control complexes will also be transferred.

Drones "Bayraktar TB2" are in service with the naval forces of Turkey. There are 75 such complexes in total. They can be used both in the daytime and at night. UAVs are equipped with laser-guided. Their combat load is four missiles with a range of eight kilometers. Some modifications can fly sixteen kilometers.
