Ukrainian opposition is going to put up with the Donbas

The Ukrainian opposition is in direct talks with the Donbas.

Dmitry Perlin, who is considered a confidant of the Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, visited the self-proclaimed republics of Donbas. It is assumed that during the trip, Pearlin held talks with the leaders of the DPR and the LPR.

It is noted that Perlin is the curator of the youth program "Ukrainian choice" (social movement). According to the publication Apostrof, Perlin visited Lugansk and Donetsk. In these cities he met with various people. During the meetings, issues of restoring peace in the South-East of Ukraine were discussed.

As Perlin assured, Viktor Medvedchuk is working to make peace for Donbass. But about the confirmation of the facts of some negotiations with the leaders of the DPR and the LPR the guest from the territory of Ukraine, controlled by Kiev, said nothing.

Nevertheless, according to the assumptions of a number of bloggers of the Telegram channels, Perlin’s trip is an integral part of the plan of the leader of the Ukrainian Choice, whose goal is a peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas. Bloggers are confident that Perlin and the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, have agreed on the appointment of people with loyalty to Medvedchuk to responsible posts in Donbass.

Back in November 2018, Medvedchuk, speaking of the plan to resolve the situation in Donbass peacefully, spoke in favor of granting him autonomy, with the possibility of having his own government and parliament, holding local elections and granting amnesty to the militias.

According to the opinion existing on the territory of Ukraine, Medvedchuk is a pro-Russian politician. The Ukrainian Choice movement led by him in 2012 - 2013 years lobbied to strengthen relations between Ukraine and Russia. Journalists describe him as the “informal ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ukraine.” It is also known about the personal relationship of this politician with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In 2014, the Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, when forming a subgroup on humanitarian issues within the framework of the tripartite contact group on the situation in the Donbas, introduced Medvedchuk into its structure. Working in this subgroup, the politician dealt with the issue of the exchange of prisoners.
