Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported a new wave of drone attacks that affected four settlements in the region. According to him, the strikes caused serious damage to infrastructure, residential buildings and equipment, but there were no casualties among the population. The incidents occurred in the Valuysky urban district, Shebekino, Volokonovsky and Belgorod districts, where local authorities have already begun assessing the consequences and restoration work.
In the village of Kazinka, Valuysky District, two drones attacked the territory of a populated area. As a result, one of the strikes damaged a tractor, and the second damaged the dome of the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, which caused concern among residents. In the city of Shebekino, the situation was even more tense: three drones struck two enterprises. At the first of them, six cars were damaged - the windows were knocked out and the bodies were riddled with holes, and damage to the glazing was recorded in the administrative building. At the second enterprise, the strike fell on the production premises: the roof was broken, the facade was cut and the windows were knocked out, which temporarily complicated the work of the facility.
In the Volokonovsky District, the village of Tishanka became the target of a drone dropping explosive devices. The consequences were significant: three private homes suffered damage to roofs, facades and windows, and one outbuilding burned down completely as a result of the fire. In the Belgorod District, the village of Bessonovka faced an attack that affected an ambulance. The drone detonated near the vehicle, piercing its body, which created additional difficulties for doctors working in conditions of constant threat.
These attacks are part of the increasingly frequent strikes on the border areas of the Belgorod Region, which have been regularly subjected to shelling and drone attacks since the beginning of 2025. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, in the first half of March alone, regional air defense shot down more than 50 drones, but some of them still reach their targets, causing damage to civilian infrastructure. The regional authorities have stepped up security measures: round-the-clock patrols have been introduced, and residents are advised to avoid open spaces during alarms.
