Ukrainian monitoring resources have recorded a large-scale offensive by Russian forces using unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the Military Observer Telegram channel, on the night of March 24, 2025, at least 200 Geran-2 kamikaze drones were launched towards targets located in the special military operation (SVO) zone. According to data coming from the Ukrainian side, the drones are moving towards strategically important objects, which indicates preparations for one of the largest attacks of this kind in recent months. The exact location of the targets has not yet been specified, but tensions in the region are rapidly growing. 

The Gerani, known for its precision and ability to hit infrastructure, pose a serious threat to rear positions. Ukrainian resources emphasize that such a large number of drones in the air at the same time is a rare occurrence, which may indicate the intention of Russian forces to cause significant damage to key military and energy facilities. At the moment, the Russian side has not officially commented on the launch.

The Geranium-2 attack comes amid an ongoing conflict where both sides are actively using unmanned technology to gain tactical advantages.
