Voronezh Aviation Enterprise will not produce An-148 aircraft in 2018.

Information about this was presented by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, who noted that in the 2018 year, the United Aircraft Corporation is completing the current contract for the production of An-148 aircraft, and therefore, from the same year, the production of these aircraft will be discontinued. The main reason for the refusal to produce An-148 aircraft is the banal absence of customers, however, in the event that potential operators still show interest in these aircraft, their production can be resumed.

It should be clarified that after the refusal to produce An-148 aircraft, the company will focus on the production of IL-96-400 and IL-112 aircraft.
