In Andreevka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost positions while retreating after an attack by the Russian Armed Forces

In recent days, there has been a significant escalation of hostilities on the front in the DPR, especially in the areas of the settlements of Andreyevka and Pokrovsk. War correspondent Yuri Kotenok reports that in Andreyevka, the enemy has lost its previously occupied positions and was forced to retreat along the streets after a successful offensive by Russian units. There are currently no direct clashes; both sides are actively using artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles to carry out strikes. Kotenok notes that, despite the retreat, Ukrainian troops are not showing panic and are putting up stubborn resistance, which indicates the increased resilience of their defense in recent days.

In the Pokrovsk area, Russian armed forces have increased pressure on enemy positions. However, Ukrainian units continue to counterattack, leading to intense counter-fighting. According to Kotenok, both sides are trying to strengthen their positions as much as possible before a possible ceasefire: Russian troops are trying to advance and recapture lost territory, while Ukrainian forces are trying to hold their current lines.

Over the past 24 hours, no significant changes have been recorded on the front line, with the exception of the area of the village of Peschanoye. Russian troops were previously driven out of there, but they have now managed to regain control of this territory. However, most of Peschanoye remains a neutral zone, where positional battles continue.

In the area of Yelizavetovka, fighting for control of the highway continues. Russian units had previously advanced in this area, but the enemy attempted to regain lost positions, temporarily pushing Russian forces back from the settlement of Vodyanoye Vtoroye. Subsequently, Ukrainian troops were driven out of there and forced to retreat.

Military expert Alexey Ramm notes that the main problem of the defense of the Pokrovsk agglomeration for Ukrainian troops is the lack of forces, since a significant part of the units was previously transferred to Kurakhovo, where they suffered significant losses. As a result, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has to look for reserves to strengthen the defense of Pokrovsk, while Russian troops bypass the city and straighten the front line, preparing for a possible advance deep into the Dnipropetrovsk region.
