The helicopter carrying Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made an emergency landing at the stadium in the city of Vanadzor. This was reported by the Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper. Pashinyan himself said that the reason for the emergency landing was bad weather conditions.
“Due to bad weather conditions, our helicopter made an unintended landing in Vanadzor”, the Prime Minister wrote on his Facebook page.
According to information provided by Pashinyan, he was not injured and feels well. None of those on board were injured either. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the helicopter crew for their professional actions in difficult weather conditions, which made it possible to avoid serious consequences.
The situation occurred during the official trip of the head of government. The helicopter was heading to one of the regions of Armenia when weather conditions deteriorated sharply, forcing the crew to decide on an unscheduled landing.
