A tourist plane crashed in Belgium.

Belgian media report that a small light aircraft crashed the day before in the Flemish province of Limburg, killing two people on board. The tragedy occurred near the city of Hasselt, while, according to preliminary data, the main reason for the crash of a tourist plane carrying out an excursion tour was a piloting error - during the flight, the pilot did not calculate the altitude, as a result of which it touched the electric transmission line.

It is reported that the incident occurred at a time when the pilot was already heading to the sports airfield in Zvatberg, located about 15 kilometers from the scene of the tragedy.

As a result of the incident, several settlements were temporarily de-energized.
