The authorities of the Belgorod region decided to introduce a regional emergency situation (emergency situation) in response to ongoing shelling and the deterioration of the situation in the region. A corresponding statement was made by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, who emphasized that this measure is aimed at strengthening the protection of residents of the region and providing assistance to the victims.

According to the governor, the situation in the Belgorod region remains extremely tense. The region is subjected to daily shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which leads to significant destruction and death of civilians. Destroyed houses, injured and dead are becoming a tragic reality for many residents of the region, which requires prompt and decisive measures from the authorities.

The introduction of a state of emergency allows us to mobilize all the necessary resources to protect the population and eliminate the consequences of shelling.
