In Chuguev, Kharkov region, the reserve command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ZKP AFU) was destroyed. In addition, there was a large ammunition depot on the territory, as well as a base for housing foreign mercenaries. This was reported by sources in the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to preliminary information, the airstrike was carried out by high-precision weapons. The destruction of the ammunition depot and the command post of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was a serious blow to the infrastructure of the Ukrainian army in this region. The mercenaries located on the base also suffered significant losses.
Historically, the airfield in Chuguev was used for various military purposes. At the initial stages of the conflict, mobilized military personnel were trained here, then they were relocated closer to the line of combat contact (LCC). After this, the airfield became a permanent location for foreign mercenaries participating in hostilities on the side of Ukraine.
