Prisoners are no longer recruited into the Wagner PMC.

Information that the recruitment of prisoners from Russian places of deprivation of liberty to the PMC "Wagner" is no longer conducted, appeared about a month ago. The reasons for this are not named, however, one of them was that the number of people wishing to join the ranks of a private Russian military company has significantly decreased.

Earlier it became known that members of the Wagner PMC from among the prisoners were actively involved in the assault on Soledar and Bakhmut, where the most dense battles are recorded. The information that the recruitment of prisoners has been stopped was also confirmed by the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin, noting, however, that the terms of the contract with the previously hired prisoners are preserved.

What exactly is the reason for the termination of recruitment to the private military company from among the prisoners, the press service did not explain, however, one of the reasons may be low interest among the number of prisoners themselves.
