Former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev (recognized as a foreign agent, included in the register of extremists and terrorists - editor's note) announced the fifth attempt to attack his life, which, according to him, was the most unusual and most successful of all previous attempts. He announced this on the social network X, noting that he felt as if it was his second birthday.

“Today seems to be my second birthday. The fifth attack attempt was the most unusual and the most successful, against which it was difficult to defend." — Ponomarev wrote.

The Russian FSB opened several criminal cases against Ponomarev in February of this year. He is accused of high treason in the form of defection to the enemy, participation in a terrorist organization and public calls for terror.
