A large-scale fire that broke out at an oil depot in Feodosia has led to the evacuation of more than a thousand city residents. This was reported by the head of the Feodosia administration, Igor Tkachenko. At the moment, all affected areas closest to the scene have been evacuated to temporary accommodation points.
According to the satellite images received, the fire has engulfed most of the territory of the oil depot, but the exact amount of flammable materials located at the facility has not yet been specified. The authorities of the Republic of Crimea and rescue services continue to assess the extent of the damage, and are taking all necessary measures to localize the fire. Dozens of fire brigades, rescuers and representatives of other emergency services are working at the site.
Earlier, ASTRA reported that the fire at the oil depot was caused by an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles.
