Hundreds of servicemen attempt mass escape in Krasnodar

On the evening of April 18, 2025, in Krasnodar, there was an attempt to escape en masse by about a hundred servicemen who had voluntarily abandoned their units (the so-called "SOCHniks") from the military commandant's office where they were being held. According to preliminary data, a group of servicemen broke the fence of a specially fenced area on the territory of the commandant's office and went beyond the isolated area. The incident, reported by sources close to law enforcement agencies, was not accompanied by the use of weapons, and there were no casualties or injuries. At the moment, it is unknown whether any of the fugitives managed to leave the territory of the military unit, as it was quickly cordoned off by the Russian Guard and police. Such information is provided by "BAZA".

The incident occurred in one of the military commandant's offices in Krasnodar, where servicemen who had previously left their units without permission are being held. Such individuals, classified as "SOCH" (unauthorized abandonment of a unit), are under special control and, as a rule, are held in isolated zones until the circumstances of their actions are clarified. According to sources, the reason for the escape could have been dissatisfaction with the conditions of detention or an unwillingness to return to service. The military commandant's office immediately responded to the incident, deploying additional forces to prevent further escape attempts. Units of the Russian National Guard arrived at the scene, as well as police patrol cars, which blocked all exits from the territory.

The Krasnodar incident stands out for its mass scale and organization. The Krasnodar Region authorities have not yet officially commented on the incident.
