The question of the possible dispatch of conscripts called up as part of the autumn campaign to the Kursk region remains open. The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov forwarded the request for clarification to the Russian Defense Ministry, emphasizing that this issue is within the competence of the military department.

Decisions regarding the distribution of conscripts by region and tasks are made exclusively by the Ministry of Defense, based on the current situation and needs. He also emphasized that the Ministry of Defense is always guided by the priorities of security and defense capability of the country.

Interest in this issue has increased against the backdrop of the tense situation in Russia's border regions, in particular in the Kursk region, which has been repeatedly attacked by Ukraine.
