The Kremlin commented on information about a new wave of mobilization in Russia

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov denied reports of a possible new wave of mobilization in the country. According to him, Russia actively continues to recruit contract volunteers on a daily basis, which fully satisfies the current needs of the armed forces.

Peskov stressed that President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that, in the opinion of the military, there is no need for additional mobilization. This statement confirms the official position of the country's leadership and refutes rumors about possible plans to expand mobilization activities.

Statements about a new wave of mobilization periodically appear in the information space, causing concern among the population. The last of them are related to Russia’s intentions to create a sanitary zone on the territory of Ukraine. However, as Peskov emphasizes, such reports are not true. The country's leadership relies on a professional army and an active recruitment of contract soldiers, which allows it to maintain a high level of combat effectiveness without the need for mass recruitment of citizens through mobilization.
