The Russian Defense Ministry stated that during active offensive operations, units of the North group of forces have returned control over 10 settlements in the Kursk region, previously occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, over the past two days. The department noted that the successful operations made it possible to liberate such settlements as Apanasovka, Byakhovo, Vishnevka, Viktorovka, Vnezapnoye, Gordeyevka, Krasnooktyabrskoye, Obukhovka, Snagost and 10th October.

According to the Defense Ministry, regaining control over these settlements is an important step in the counteroffensive of Russian troops aimed at strengthening positions in border areas and stabilizing the situation in the region. The ministry representatives emphasized that the operation was carefully planned and its successful implementation made it possible to secure critical communications and logistics routes.
