A new airport will be built on the territory of the Leningrad Region.

The authorities decided to approve the construction of the airport "Siversky" on the territory of the Leningrad region. The new air harbor will cost the state budget in the amount of about 5-6 billion rubles, while the airport will primarily be designed for small aircraft, general aviation, and sanitary aviation, so that specialists have not seen the opportunity to perform regular flights.

Experts have suggested that, for a quick and successful implementation of the project, additional investment may be required, however, it will be very difficult to find the necessary investments in the absence of a commercial component.
