To deliver strikes against ground targets in Libya, missiles of the S-125 air defense complex are again used. They are being used by forces opposing Field Marshal Haftar. In the video posted on the web, you can see a tractor towing a launcher mounted on a trawl, which is usually used when transporting heavy equipment.

The footage captures the launch of the rocket and its flight towards an unknown target. All this is accompanied by joyful shouts. Whether it was possible to hit someone with such a launch is unknown.

According to some experts, the video was filmed several years ago. So, the facts of such use of the S-125 from a similar launcher were noted in the summer of 2016. Then such missiles tried to destroy the IS militant group (banned in the Russian Federation - editor's note), located in the area of ​​the city of Sirte.

At the same time, attempts were made to create a self-propelled version with such a complex. The 37-ton Soviet T-62 tank was chosen as the platform.

There is evidence that after Muammar Gaddafi was overthrown, substantial stocks of missiles were found in warehouses. They began to be used as heavy unguided projectiles equipped with 60-kilogram warheads. The effect of these missiles was negligible. To a greater extent, they had a psychological effect on the enemy.

Facts are also known when Kh-29 aircraft missiles were used in the form of ground-based NURS. They were intended for the Libyan Su-24MK bombers.
