December 7, 2013. Reconstruction of Makhachkala-Uytash airport began. The amount allocated for the renovation is 2,5 billion rubles.

In the spring, when the reconstruction is completed, the runway, the apron section with the aircraft maintenance system and the electric supply system for the apron and signaling equipment will be improved.

Already in 2014, there will be an updated airport in Dagestan that will be able to receive almost all types of aircraft, which will increase passenger traffic, improve the quality of passenger services, increase the safety of flights and increase the number of flights.

At the time of reconstruction, Uytash Airport will operate normally, with no delays or cancellations. Work will be conducted between shipments of planes or at night, in the dark.
