The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke about cyber attacks on critical infrastructure facilities

Since the beginning of the special military operation (SVO), the intensity of cyber attacks on Russian critical information infrastructure facilities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), has increased manifold. This was announced in an interview with RIA Novosti by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation on international cooperation in the field of information security, director of the Department of International Information Security of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Artur Lyukmanov.

According to a Foreign Ministry representative, the most common tools used by hackers are malware, phishing and DDoS attacks on external services such as websites, servers and network equipment.

Despite the intensification of attacks, Lyukmanov noted that all electronic sabotage is promptly identified and neutralized thanks to the improvement of the necessary tools and the planned re-equipment of standard protective equipment.
