An American reconnaissance aircraft followed the attack on the Khmeimim airbase.

As follows from the data voiced by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, when militants of the Syrian anti-government forces attempted to attack the Russian military airbase Khmeimim in Syria, an American military reconnaissance aircraft was seen in the immediate vicinity. Experts do not exclude that in reality, the attack on the Russian military base could be supported by the US Department of Defense, since the government of this country benefits from the overthrow of the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, however, no official accusations were made against the United States.

Among other things, it was previously reported that on December 31, when the Russian Khmeimim airbase was subjected to mortar fire, the US Armed Forces were also involved in this, which, however, also turned out to be unproven.

It should be clarified that thanks to the Russian Aerospace Forces, the terrorists of the banned Islamic State group were almost completely driven out of Syria.
