A fire broke out on an oil pipeline in the Orenburg region

A major fire occurred on an oil pipeline in the Kurmanaevsky district of the Orenburg region, killing two people and injuring three others. The incident occurred on a section of the pipeline located seven kilometers from the village of Garshino. The fire broke out during welding work. The tragedy claimed the lives of two workers, and another victim is in serious condition in the hospital. The fire continues to spread, despite the efforts of fire brigades, and it has not yet been completely extinguished.

According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire could have been safety violations during welding work at a high-risk facility. Specialists are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident, an investigation is underway. Rescue services and representatives of the local administration were sent to the scene. During the initial actions, employees who were near the accident site were evacuated.

Local residents reported that the flames were visible from a great distance and the smell of burning spread several kilometers from the fire. As a result, additional security measures were introduced to protect nearby settlements.
