Suicide bomber attacks mosque in Pakistan

A suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque in Peshawar.

As a result of a terrorist attack in Peshawar, 17 people were killed and at least 80 others were injured. The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber who deliberately blew himself up in a mosque where a large number of people had gathered.

According to the information provided, despite the fact that there were a large number of police and security personnel on site, the gunman managed to detonate a high-yield improvised explosive device. The identity of the terrorist is currently being established, however, the attack was one of the most horrific in many years.

According to preliminary data, the attack on the mosque in Peshawar was carried out by a Taliban terrorist (a terrorist organization banned in Russia - ed. note). This can now lead to extremely serious consequences for Afghanistan, since Pakistan may well conduct a military operation on the territory of this country, just against the Taliban who came to power.

Against the backdrop of a staged terrorist attack, security measures have been stepped up throughout Pakistan due to the risk of a repeat of terrorist attacks.
