Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has expressed concern about the uncertainty surrounding Donald Trump's stance on Ukraine if he becomes US president. According to Tusk, given Trump's style, a "dynamic presidency" can be expected, which could lead to significant changes compared to Joe Biden's current policies.
"How will events develop in matters concerning European security and Ukraine's role in this context? Will Washington's course change? Today, no one can answer these questions with certainty," — Tusk noted.
He stressed that in recent months there have been conflicting opinions and discussions around US positions, making upcoming policy in this area particularly unpredictable.
Tusk also spoke about his past work with Trump, noting that despite their good relations, the Republican is known for his unpredictability. This could create difficulties not only for his opponents but also for his allies if the US changes course abruptly.
The Prime Minister added that he plans to meet with Trump in the near future to discuss pressing issues related to regional security and further US actions regarding Ukraine and Russia.
